Currently Reading:
I am pretty sure that I stumbled upon the book when I was perusing the Stuff Christians Like blog after clicking on a friend's post on Facebook. Anyway, it was a God thing. I found out about the book and then went to the website where I was able to read the whole first chapter for free. At the time, and still to this day, I have not finished "Searching For God Knows What" but I decided that I needed to purchase and read "Quitter" by Jon Acuff. The subtitle explains it all, "Closing the gap between you DAY JOB and your DREAM JOB.
I am now about halfway through and the book has helped me many times to see and have a more positive outlook even though the job I currently have is really in no way, shape, or form putting to use my rather expensive degree.
The book talks about everything from managing your time to involve both your day job and your dream job to explaining how you can make the most out of your day job in terms of relating small aspects of the job to your Dream Job.
After having read only a quarter of the book I probably had mentioned and suggested it to most of my friends and family. If you are interested go here: http://www.quitterbook.com/ and read the first chapter free.

...therefore I have hope
I firmly believe that God has his hand in every aspect of my life. He has a plan, maybe not the easiest plan but most definitely worth the journey in the end. :)

John and Helen's Wedding
So I was randomly asked to take photos at one of my best friend's wedding. My camera has started acting up, but here is what I was able to capture:

Spontaneous trips:
-Sometimes things you do on a whim turn out to be some of the best memories.... even if things don't go as smoothly as you would like.
Yesterday was one of those days. We made PB&J's, fruit salad and then grabbed some chips and waters for each of us. I grabbed my camera and we all piled into Val's car, for a quick adventure to Charleston. By quick I mean left Charlotte at 4pm and arrived back in Charlotte around 1am.
First thirty minutes we spent perusing the exhibition of Action Photo's from around the world. The photos were pretty awesome. you can view them here:

Destination: Charleston, SC
Estimated time of arrival: 7:50pm Actual time of arrival: 7pm
We arrived at Marion Square and found a metered parking space on the perimeter of the square. We immediately put coins in the meter enough for our estimated 2 hour visit.

We then used my phone as a GPS to navigate our way to Market Street and then on to Waterfront Park.
